Install Salmon

Install Salmon from an official source and verify it before use.

Use an official source

Open salmonwallet.io and follow the download link for your platform. The official website is the source of truth for current store listings and supported platforms.

Do not install Salmon from links in advertisements, direct messages, search-result promotions, or unsolicited support replies.

Chrome extension

Install Salmon from its Chrome Web Store listing. The extension runs in the browser side panel rather than a small popup.

Before installing:

  1. Open the extension store from the official Salmon website.
  2. Check the name, publisher, extension identifier, requested permissions, and update history.
  3. Confirm that the listing has not redirected you to another domain.

After installation, pin or open Salmon from the browser toolbar. Your browser may ask you to enable side-panel access.

Firefox

The source repository supports producing a Firefox build, but the official website does not currently link to a Firefox store listing. Do not install an unofficial repackaged extension. Developers can follow the frontend repository's build instructions and inspect the source themselves.

Android

The Android app is available as a Beta release from Google Play. Confirm the application identifier io.salmonwallet.app and publisher before installing.
